Fireplace Mantels, Etc. provides installation services or you may choose to hire your own mason or stone installer for your fireplace surround, gazebo, fountain, or other stone product.

90% of our fireplaces are custom made to fit the dimensions of your fireplace....our fireplaces are made to fit your specifications. You will find our fireplaces larger and more impressive than others. Our fireplaces average 53" H - 60" H with average mantel depths ranging from 13-24 inches and although we have many fireplaces in stock, the inventory is constantly changing on a day to day basis.

Whether you have a masonry or gas fireplace, there is no set standard size. Not all mantels in stock will fit your application. There are many variables in pricing your mantel. We pride ourselves in providing you with a mantel that fits your fireplace proportionately.

The size and pricing of your mantel depends on 4 variables : the opening size of your firebox or gas fireplace frame (Width and Height), the stone you choose, (Travertine, marble, sandstone or limestone), and the color and origin of the stone chosen. The larger your firebox or gas fireplace, the larger your mantel will need to be.

Wall preparation....new construction - have your mason/contractor leave you with a flat plumb wall on one level plane. Renovation - Encapsulation of brick fireplaces...Have brick and don't know how to make it go away? Don't paint it. Encapsulate it with one of our beautiful mantels. Our mantels are custom designed to wrap around your brick!

Natural stone quarries

Granite (pronounced /ˈɡrænɪt/) is a common and widely occurring type of intrusive, felsic, igneous rock. Granite has a medium to coarse texture, occasionally with some individual crystals larger than the groundmass forming a rock known as porphyry. Granites can be pink to dark gray or even black, depending on their chemistry and mineralogy. Outcrops of granite tend to form tors, and rounded massifs. Granites sometimes occur in circular depressions surrounded by a range of hills, formed by the metamorphic aureole or hornfels.

Granite is nearly always massive (lacking internal structures), hard and tough, and therefore it has gained widespread use as a construction stone. The average density of granite is 2.75 g/cm3. The word granite comes from the Latin granum, a grain, in reference to the coarse-grained structure of such a crystalline rock.
